Clathrus ruber, Clathraceae familyasından erişkinleri kırmızı renkli, küresel kafes şeklinde bir mantar türü.
En sık Ekim ayında rastlansa da yılın her mevsiminde ortaya çıkabilir. İlk hali kirli beyaz renkli, toprağa yarı gömülü bir yumurta şekildedir. Dışındaki zar çatladıktan sonra altıgen hücreleri olan kırmızı kafes şeklinde göz alıcı bir gövdesi vardır. Kafesin iç tarafındaki koyu kahverengi sıvı leş kokusu yayar ve böcekleri çeker. Böcekler de sporların yayılmasını sağlar.
